Team Animal Commencal - The Athertons
The approach is simple; you work together with the world champion and design products according to his or her needs. In this case we enlisted an entire team of champions to get input on every aspect and angle of the downhill and 4X scene. That base of knowledge was like a treasure trove in the hands of our designers, and the results are stunning. At PRO, we’re truly privileged to have these living legends advising us on how to squeeze the last drop of performance out of a full range of Downhill and 4X components and accessories. The Athertons gave us their specs, and then our engineers and designers got to work on handlebars, stems, a seat post, a saddle and grips. Incredibly strong, state-of-the-art designs and materials, with loads of special touches and innovations that put them in a class of their own. Tested, approved, and signed by the fastest mountain bikers on the planet. A new twist on going ballistic!

Thomas Vanderham
Thomas is completely driven by his desire to focus attention on the “Big Mountain” side of free-riding. In 2009 he spent most of his extremely precious time working closely with The Collective crew on a segment for their new fi lm FOLLOW ME, due for release in the spring of 2010. Looking ahead, he plans to focus on fi lming strong movie segments, and collaborating on photo projects with the industry’s top photographers to promote his sponsors and the scene. He will still compete in select slope-styles but his heart and soul is with “Big Mountain”. With his extreme riding-style, it soon becomes evident with Thomas in the saddle whether or not a product is “bomb-proof” (or Thomas-proof, as we say here at PRO). His preferences and requirements have found their perfect expression in a new series of PRO components. Now it’s time for you to explore your limits!

Simon Whitfield
After winning the Gold medal in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney and missing the podium in Athens, Simon was eager to show he was still up there with the fastest triathletes in the world. Part of Simon’s meticulous preparations for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing was to find the best available components for his bike. Unfortunately in his quest for Olympic metal Simon was not able to find his ideal aero-bar set-up. At that moment PRO offered Simon to develop his own signature bars, and Simon was immediately enthusiastic. With Simon’s specific requirements on paper, the PRO engineers started to develop an aero-bar based on the already existing Stealth Evo. Because of ITU regulations our engineers had to play within certain limits but this didn’t keep them from developing a truly astonishing product. Looking at the fi nal aero-bar with its low frontal surface-area, innovative mounting-system and extremely low weight they were able to materialize Simon’s wildest dreams. Soon after Simon’s ultimate dream also came true by winning a Silver Medal at the Olympic race in Beijing. PRO can also help you to pursuit your dreams…
