Pierrick Fedrigo has on Monday won the fifteenth stage of the Tour de France. In the city of Pau the Frenchman of FDJ-BigMat defeated his five fellow attackers. Christian Vande Velde (Garmin-Sharp) finished second. Thomas Voeckler (Europcar) third.
Dries Devenyns (Omega Pharma QuickStep) and Samuel Dumoulin (Cofidis) were the two other fugitives.
Fedrigo and his fellow attackers had to work really hard to get away. The peloton kept a high pace and let a group go after sixty kilometers. After that the bunch took it easy and arrived in Pau more than ten minutes after Fedrigo and his men.
