Bradley Wiggins wins time-trial TdF!
Bradley Wiggins has on Monday pulverized the competition in the first long time trial of the Tour de France. The Briton took an advance on a final win. The Englishman of Sky did 51'24'' over the 41.5 kilometer long course from Arc-et-Senans to Besançon. He was 1'34'' faster than rival Cadel Evans (BMC), who finished sixth.

Wiggins' team mate Chris Froome seized the second place. The Briton held specialist Fabian Cancellara (RadioShack-Nissan) behind him. Tejay Garderen, a servant of Evans, noted the fourth time.

In the general classification Wiggins has now 1'53'' on Evans. Froome follows at 2'07''. Vincenzo Nibali (Liquigas-Cannondale) occupies the fourth spot.
